LED car clock doesn't show on Ford Falcon Futura?

12 year old car, and the clock never shows the time. sometimes in the right light you can get a slight glimpse, but otherwise it just isnt displayed. i know its still counting the time properly. Ive been checking the fuses but my not so mechanically minded self can not find a fault there. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as this is sooo very frustrating :)
